Twitter - anyone using it and thoughts on it?

Just wondered who in the group uses Twitter and why? Has anyone got anything out of it?

I use it Neil. It's mad but compulsive. If you are following several people, their tweets are posted sequentially, so it is like reading the ramblings of a mad man.
I haven't got anything out of it, apart from the opportunity to waste a bit of time in a fun way.

It does work though for some people - I know a hosting company who use it as an additional route to make clients aware of any issues.

Personally - I really do not see the point of it, just another must have thing like Facebook.

I for one want to sack the UI team at FB - the latest change is almost unusable. But I digress....
