We have been commissioned to create and 'package' a 256-page book about the world's Elite Forces for one of our international book publishing clients. We are looking for a writer who can produce a manuscript of around 40,000 words of text and captions for this picture-led title. The book will be hardback, large format, full colour throughout, presented in self-contained double-page spreads of around 320 words per spread (rather than flowing narrative), 3-4 pictures per spread with captions. The approach will be popular, accessible, aimed at a general mass-market audience (rather than specialist military readers), covering the personnel, equipment, training, operations and weapons used by elite military and police forces around the globe.

Obviously, this would suit a quick, efficient, professional writer who has a specialist knowledge of current military subjects, particularly with an interest in elite and special forces. However, we would not rule out a more general writer/journalist who is able to research the subject and write quickly in an interesting, informed style.

Interested? Or know someone who might be? Please get in touch to discuss the details - we have sample spreads, approved by the publisher, which give a very clear indication of the sort of approach we are after.

Thanks, Paul
