- At Hop House, we excel at listening to client requirements... and then producing effective, cost conscious creative work across a wide range of disciplines.
We were established in 1996 and primarily work for blue chips / larger organisations... although since moving to the Tunbridge Wells area in 2002, we have also enjoyed working for smaller / local companies. Variety really is the spice of life! Smaller companies benefit greatly from our 'big company' experience ~ and perhaps more importantly, a greatly reduced hourly rate!
For those that think such things are important, we are also an 'award-winning' agency. But shhh, don't tell everyone. Getting such awards is great of course, but not what we're in the game for.
As for me, well... I'm a Graphic Design graduate from Ravensbourne and until forming my own company in '96 spent most of my creative working life in the design and advertising agencies of London. I did spend a short time at Creative Palace (the off-shoot of long-lost Tunbridge Wells ad agency Newton & Godin) in the late 80s ~ but I don't like to talk about it. From '89 to '96, I was Head of Design at IPC Magazines (now IPC Media) ~ a fantastic job that was impossibly hard to leave. Where else would I get to work on titles as diverse as NME, Country Life, Woman's Own, Shoot, Loaded and Marie Claire (to name but a few)?
In terms of 'skillsets', erm... I'm great at waffling (evidence, above) and playing the guitar.
