Alison Everitt merchandising advice needed

Hi, I am about to sign a contract for royalties on merchandising to do with a range of cards I have designed for a company, and wondered if anyone had any information on what a good percentage was to receive...I don't want to look greedy by asking for more, but might like to see if there is a better deal.

Thanks!

Lee Pegrum Venue help needed!

Hi fellow Meejas, I am looking to set up a social evening for the over thirties in the Tunbridge Wells area. As a Sevenoaks dweller I rarely visit the Wells and would therefore like some feedback on venues that may be suitable. The basic requirements are: Easy to get to and park nearby. Friendly location. Capacity 100 with possible expansion to 300. Either bar style venue or hotel. I like the "feel" of the Pilcher and Piano, but this one is booked out. Any ideas? Would anyone who is going… Continue

Bob Harvey Life in Italy - Living in Wonderland

The Chartered Management Institute asked me for a contribution to a new blog they were setting up, and then they scrubbed the idea. Here's what I wrote, - and I will post from time to time. When we decided to move to Italy, it was essentially a move to what the Italians call “Slow Living.” The philosophy is quite simply that nothing is really that important. Nothing is worth worrying about, what matters is home, friends and family, then the local community and somewhere down the line come Italy… Continue

David Taylor Just over a week to go!

I'm really excited about launching my new company 2010media. Based in Calverley House (my Father's old office in the 1970s when it was the HQ for NPI), it'll be just a ten minute walk from home - far better than my 90 minute commute! Continue

Jonathan Ryder Richardson Web Design Barter

Hi Hubbers, I am looking to branch out on my own at some point in the distant future, but being a shy timid type I want to make the transition from desk jockey at BSkyB a gradual one. I am therefore looking for some help/advice building a website to showcase my work. I know there are 'off the peg' sites to be had but I need something a bit more sophisticated and creative. Being art rich and cash poor I am looking to barter my skills. I don't imagine anyone wants any television sets designed (th… Continue

Michael Holman Is your Browser up to Date? (for PC types)

There’s currently more choice in quality browser’s than ever and it’s well worth becoming comfortable with more than one type. In the world of PC browsers we reckon the league table for the current popular models should look something like this. 1. Firefox – Close to perfect 2. Internet Explorer 8, Chrome and Opera – Pretty good 3. Flock – Not bad 4. Internet Explorer 7 – hmmm… OK 5. Every other browser – Better than IE6 6. Internet Explorer 6 – RIP (please help to kill it off ASAP) Why an ear… Continue
